Rules & Guidelines

There’s no doubt in our minds you’ll love your experience on Lady Bird
Lake! That said, to ensure you get the most of your canoe, kayak, or
paddleboard rental, we ask that you familiarize yourself with the rules
below.

Our rental rates are by the hour. Pay for 1 hour, 2 hours, or the all-day rate upfront. If you are having a great time and end up staying out longer than your pre-paid time, that’s no problem. Any extra time is charged upon your return in half-hour increments.

All participants must review the Safety Rules posted at the dock.

Regular rentals are first come, first served. See the Group Rentals for more information regarding special event reservations.

All ages are welcome. We have something for everyone.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the water. Additional age restrictions apply for stand up paddle board (SUP) rentals.
Minors 8-15 years of age may SUP only if a parent is on the water and will be next to the minor for the duration of the rental.

Minors 16 and up may paddle board without a parent on the water with them but are required to have their parent sign our rental waiver.

Make sure you close your tickets before leaving the dock so we know you and your boats have returned safely.  Additional charges will be added to tickets left open at the end of the day.

Rentals stop one hour before close.

Return no later than our closing time to avoid late fees.

Participants are financially responsible for lost or damaged equipment

What to Bring

Rule number one, obviously, is to have fun. Alas, there are a few more things to know before you paddle.
