WE'RE HIRING DOCK ATTENDANTS!

Rowing Dock rents a variety of Kayaks, Canoes, and Stand-Up Paddle Boards. If you are looking for a fast-paced, customer-facing, and super fun job… Rowing Dock is the place for you.

The Role:
The Dock Attendant is the face of Rowing Dock. You are responsible for assisting customers and answering questions about the dock. You take pride in keeping our dock nice, neat, and organized, as well as taking care of the equipment. As a Dock Attendant, you will learn how to properly pair customers with appropriate boats per their body type and skill set, how to help customers in and out of boats, and how to teach customers paddling basics, and most importantly, how to have a good time while doing all of the above!

Who You Are:

  • You appreciate an incredible customer service experience and will work hard to make it a reality
  • You’re a talker – you like being social, friendly, and engaging with people
  • You’re comfortable working outside in the heat (this is Texas, y’all! Our summers are HOT).
  • You’re into staying fit and healthy
  • You’re always up for a good time but you’re also responsible and professional (Tardiness and absenteeism are NOT tolerated)
  • You’re available weekends and holidays
  • You’re over the age of 18 and have reliable transportation to/from work
  • You can commit to working at Rowing Dock for six months or longer. We are looking for dedicated members to join our team. If you are looking for stop gap employment, please do not apply.

Pay

  • We provide paid training including First Aid/CPR certifications
  • $13/hour for entry-level first season Dock Attendants 
  • $14-$16/Hour if promoted to a leadership role
  • $18-$20/Hour for guided paddles and events team pay (training included)
  • We also offer free rentals for staff and their families and friends! 

Shifts

  • Dock Attendants work between 2 and 5 shifts a week. This is a part-time job; please do not apply if you expect full-time hours.
  • Shifts are 4-6 hours in length
