Rowing Dock are a great escape from the routine outing with family, friends, or coworkers! Don't have a large group? We offer walk up rentals for any group less than 10 people.

$25 per person/hour (min. booking is 10+ people)

After 6 weeks in quarantine, some time on the lake was much needed. Booked myself two one hour slots for this morning and it was amazing. The way the staff has adjusted their system to allow everyone to safely enjoy some time outdoors is awesome and they all were so friendly and helpful! The dock is quite close to the view of the city skyline and you can get there very quickly. Can’t wait for my next visit!

One of few places we found open all week during the off season! We Rented a kayak and a bag to keep our stuff safe, the whole process was easy and a fair price! We had an excellent time on the Colorado River thanks to Rowing Dock!

I’ve been going to the Rowing Dock for years and it’s always a great experience! The prices are very reasonable (only $20 for a double kayak!) and the staff is always very friendly. The location couldn’t be better with incredible views of the Austin skyline and the Westlake hills. A must-do for anyone visiting Austin!

Can my group show up without a reservation if we have 10 people or less?

Yes, on weekdays we can accomodate large groups without a reservation, although we always appreciate a heads up as volumes are busier. On weekends, if you have a party of less than 10, we recommend arriving early in the morning. We also accept reservations for parties larger than 10 on weekdays and weekends but they must be made days in advance. To book, visit our group reservations page.

How many people can you accomodate at Rowing Dock?

We can rent to groups as small as 10 and as large as 300. If you do have a large group, please inquire for our buy out rates and email info@rowingdock.com.

How long can we use the picnic area and how many people do the tables hold?

You can use the picnic area for the duration of your event. Depending on your group's size, our tables can fit up to 40 if you are the only group that has an event for that day. We will have it prepped and ready for your arrival.

Do I have to pay upfront to book a group experience?

For Group Reservations - A 20% deposit is required upfront. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to the card on file 72 hours before departure. Final headcount and any reschedule requests must be submitted at least 72 hours in advance. For Guided Tours - 100% payment is required upfront. Final headcount and any reschedule requests must be submitted at least 72 hours in advance. For Teambuilding Experiences, A 20% deposit is required upfront. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to the card on file 7 days before departure. Final headcount and any reschedule requests must be submitted at least 7 days in advance.

Can I reschedule my group reservation if something comes up?

To reschedule your outing at no additional charge, you must submit a written request to info@rowingdock.com at least 72 hours in advance.

What happens if people in my party are running late?

Group paddle schedules are strictly adhered to. Hosts must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your event to meet with your dedicated attendant. Rowing Dock is not responsible for late arrivals or late starting times. Your paddle ending time will not be adjusted to accommodate late guests. Encourage your guests to arrive early.

What happens if the weather looks bad for my upcoming reservation or the experience is cancelled due to weather?

Texas weather is consistently dry and hot with very mild winter conditions. Rowing Dock considers the following conditions acceptable for paddling: Temperatures above 50 degrees, winds below 17mph, light rain, overcast skies, and high waters with a flow rate below 4000 CFS. All reservations are considered rain or shine and will proceed as scheduled in the event of mild weather. If Rowing Dock must cancel due to severe inclement weather, you will have the option to either reschedule your reservation at no additional cost or receive a full refund, minus a 15% administrative fee.
