There’s movie night… and then there’s an Austin-style movie night. This weekend, Friday, August 8th, at 8:30pm following sunset, locals and visitors alike are in for a treat as the beloved Pixar classic Finding Nemo takes center screen in one of the city’s most magical settings: floating on the water.
That’s right—Finding Nemo will be shown under the stars as part of Rowing Dock’s one-of-a-kind floating movie experience on Lady Bird Lake. Participants will be able to watch the film from a kayak, canoe or stand up paddleboard rented at Rowing Dock.
Whether you’re a long-time fan of the film or introducing it to your little ones for the first time, there’s something magical about watching a movie about the sea while floating right on it. Plus, you’ll get to watch the sun go down over the water. Doesn’t get much better than that! We hope you’ll join us on the water with your kiddos for a viewing experience they’ll never forget.

- Boats: Your boat rental is included in the price of your ticket. You can select your preferred boat on-site when you arrive

For those that come early, there will be an old-school ice cream truck on-site serving treats for the kiddos (for purchase). To add a fun interactive activity for the kids, we’ll also be handing out fish food to all the kiddos so they can sprinkle it around their boat.
