Rowing Dock maintains the best fleet of kayaks on Lady Bird Lake. Choose from sit-inside or sit-on-top kayaks to enjoy your excursion. Many of our boats come with adjustable seats and seat backs so you can enjoy your paddle in comfort. Our fleet is chosen for quality, stability, and ease of use. Anyone can participate! Try a single kayak or take a friend in one of our double kayaks. Lifejackets are required with every outing. Lightweight, threadable paddles are also included. We love dogs, so feel free to bring Fido along for the ride! Try fishing, touring, or just lounging around.

A kayak is defined by the International Canoe Federation (the world sanctioning body) as a boat where the paddler faces forward, legs in front, using a double-bladed paddle. Most kayaks have closed decks, although “sit-on-top” kayaks are growing in popularity. Rowing Dock has stable kayaks for beginners, as well as vessels that will allow an experienced paddle to enjoy Lady Bird Lake.   Some great features of our boats are padded seatbacks, cup holders, storage, and foot braces for stability.

Wilderness Pamlico Tandem

One of the most popular tandems on the market. The Pamlico has a large, wide, opening that is easy to get in and out of. There is plenty of leg room for both the bow and stern paddlers.

Wilderness Pungo Single

This boat has a great balance of manageability, stability, speed, and comfort. A great boat for beginners and advanced users alike. Plenty of room to stow some gear for a longer paddle, and the tracking ability to make it happen.

Old Town Vapor Single

This boat is stable, efficient, and comfortable. The largest opening of any of our single sit-insides, the Vapor is easy to get in and out of. This boat is great for an adult and small child to paddle together.

Old Town Otter + Dagger Single

Extremely easy to maneuver, and very stable, the Otters and the Daggers are great for smaller paddlers. Easy enough to control, small children have no problem keeping up in this boat.

Perception Acadia II Tandem

The largest tandem in our fleet, this boat is stable, comfortable, and roomy. Add a booster seat for a third passenger in the middle. The Perception features a high seat back and more leg room than any other sit-inside.

This roomy kayak has no problem holding two or three passengers, and still allowing room for gear or even the family pet. Woof! The Tarpon tandem doesn’t sacrifice performance for all these advantages, remaining one of the most maneuverable tandems available.

The most popular kayak in Texas. Engineered by Wilderness Systems to maintain stability and glide while extending gear capacity. There is plenty of room for almost any sized paddler and their gear.

The roomiest of our tandems. This boat is great for a family outing. With enough room for a child or pet in the middle, everyone can enjoy the lake together.
