Rowing Dock is the best spot to access and enjoy Lady Bird Lake. We are open 363 days a year and no reservations are necessary. Once on the water, your adventure is up to you! Travel west towards Redbud Island, Tom Miller Dam, and the peaceful, nature-filled ‘West End’. If you prefer, head east in to the heart of downtown Austin, navigate through bridges, be dazzled by the scenic skyline, or explore the Barton Creek inlet.
To rent, visit Rowing Dock during open hours (7am-6pm) and our friendly staff will get you on the water. Simple as that!
RENTAL GUIDELINES:
- No reservations are necessary.
- All of the boats are virtually “un-tippable,” simple to maneuver, and lots of fun
- All ages are welcome and rental boats and boards are easy to use even for beginners.
- Easy parking is available in our huge gravel lot.
- All rental rates are by the hour.
- Rowing Dock accepts checks and cash only, sorry, no credit cards.
- Lifejackets and paddles are included

Purchase kayak and Stand-Up Paddle Board punch cards and SAVE at Rowing Dock. Punch cards must be presented to the dock attendant at time of rental. Waiver forms must be filled out for all rentals and punch card holders.
