Our philanthropic endeavors are guided by two primary core beliefs. First, that we support the underprivileged and underserved in our local community with an emphasis on providing access to Lady Bird Lake and second, that we support those organizations whose primary mission is to preserve our environment. As stewards of the environment and Lady Bird Lake, we are dedicated to educating the public about the Colorado River.
We are proud that through our partnerships with like-minded organizations, in 2016 we were able to accomplish the following:
Enable over 500 at risk youth to spend a half day canoeing on the lake by providing free equipment and underwriting $12,500 to Texas River School
Provide over $3000 worth of free rentals to Keep Austin Beautiful for Lady Bird Lake cleanups
Provide over $7700 worth of free equipment rentals to Boys and Girls Club, Zilker Park Nature Center, and Explore Austin, as well as other youth-focused community organizations
Provide over $32,000 worth of free equipment rentals to local non-profits
In addition, every year we donate our dock, our staff, our equipment, and our time through fundraisers held at Rowing Dock. Last year we sponsored “Paddle For Puppies” to benefit Austin Pets Alive, “Dam that Cancer” in support of the Flatwater Foundation, and “Stand Up For Children” to benefit The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children: last year we helped raise over $30,000 for these 3 non-profit organizations.
