Moonlight Paddle

You’ve never been paddling like this before! Join Rowing Dock for a fun-filled night of star gazing and paddling as we open our doors at night. From 8-10pm, enjoy paddling the best boats on Lady Bird Lake under the night sky. Paddle upstream towards Redbud Island and see the sights and sounds of Tom Miller Dam at night. Or, if you prefer, point your boat east towards town to view the burgeoning Austin skyline, auditorium shores, or maybe some flying mammals.

All rentals for the Moonlight Paddle are by the hour. No reservations accepted. Last rental is at 9pm, due back by 10pm.

$10 single kayak/ hour

$15 double kayak/ hour

 

 

Rules and Recommendations

• Bring water or a drink. We sell Gatorade and water at Rowing Dock. No alcoholic beverages permitted.
• All patrons receive a glo-necklace which must be worn for the duration of the rental.
• No Paddle Boards or Paddle Boats allowed.
• Dogs are welcome. Woof!
• No reservations accepted. First-come, first serve only.
• Dress appropriately. While the likelihood of tipping a kayak is low, the likelihood of getting splashed is high.
• Don’t bring anything you cannot live without. There is no dry storage on the kayaks. Leave valuables in your car, out of site.
• No one under 18 without parental consent. Under 13 must have a parent/guardian present to participate.
• Rowing Dock is cash/check only.
• Arrive on time. All rentals must be off the water by 10pm.
